Biotherapeutics Manufacturing Technology Japan (BMTJ) is one of major sites in global Biotherapeutics Process Development and is organized from bioprocess development group and biologics manufacturing group. BMTJ is responsible for biologics manufacturing process throughout the phases, which includes process development at lab-scale, scale-up from lab-scale to manufacturing scale, drug substance manufacturing for clinical supply, and regulatory submission to health agency. As biologics evolve day by day, we are looking for people who are passionate about new technologies and innovative challenges. BMTJ is located in Shohan iPark and strongly collaborating with colleagues in Boston and Vienna for biotherapeutics development globally.

Implement capital investment, introduction, and validation under cGMP related to manufacturing and research facility of biotherapeutics.
Manage maintenance, troubleshooting and outsourcing activities of manufacturing and research facility of biotherapeutics.
Lead studies of manufacturing technology using digital technology and progress of digitalization and considerations of manufacturing capacity strategies in biotherapeutics process development and manufacturing.

M.S./M.A. or higher degree in biology, biotechnological engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, agriculture or related field, with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
B.S./B.A. in biology, biotechnological engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, agriculture, or related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience

Experience with process development, scale-up study, and manufacturing of biotherapeutics such as recombinant protein, peptides, virus vector, or vaccine.
Experience with introduction of equipment or facility, plant engineering, equipment/facility management and/or validation/qualification under cGMP related to biotherapeutics such as recombinant proteins, peptides, virus vectors, or vaccines. Experience as a project manager of facility induction/construction is preferable.

Salary Increase: Annually
Bonus Payment: Twice a year
Working Hours: Headquarters (Osaka/ Tokyo) 9:00-17:30, Production Sites (Osaka/ Yamaguchi) 8:00-16:45, Research Site (Kanagawa) 9:00-17:45
Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays, May Day, Year-End Holidays etc. (approx. 123 days in a year)
