The Corporate Technology organization provides the internal tools and services to keep Stripes efficient and productive. We manage Stripe laptops, company:wide SaaS productivity tools, audio/visual technology, helpdesk support, corporate networking, systems infrastructure, and custom software development solutions. Our products and services are used by every Stripe, everywhere.
The Program Management team within Corporate Technology is responsible for the cross:functional strategy, planning, orchestration, and execution of large:scale CorpTech initiatives. We create and maintain the structure required to run these programs, and then drive the execution, partnering with a variety of technical and non:technical stakeholders from all over Stripe.
We are a small team of generalists who are adaptable and add value fast. Were growing quickly and ready to add a new Strategy and Ops function to our team. This first:of:its:kind role in our org will chart the course and set the rhythm for how our org plans and executes work. You will serve as a critical driver of organizational planning, develop process structure and measurements for project and program execution, as well as define and lead key run:the:business activities. You will lead critical strategic initiatives and create frameworks for others to do the same. We are looking for someone with experience developing and optimizing processes, achieving operational goals, and diving into problems with a data:driven mentality.
You will:Lead and oversee strategic planning sessions, coordinate presentations to properly communicate the organizations vision, and guide the Corporate Technology leadership team through resource allocation
Lead and define processes for strategic initiative status reviews, from which stakeholder and executive communications and updates are generated
Drive execution of multiple simultaneous, cross:functional projects and/or programs
Refine our project and program lifecycle processes and corresponding templates
Assist in organizational planning, including defining career ladders for the appropriate job profiles that make up Corporate Technology
Partner with leaders across the organization to define and develop operational metrics, alongside a process for collecting and presenting data for leadership review at regular intervals
Continue to refine the rhythm of business for Corporate Technology, including how teams organize to execute and measure effort as a way to determine resource capacity
Proactively make adjustments to course:correct programs that are in jeopardy, and communicate those updates to the correct stakeholders
Interface with a variety of technical and non:technical stakeholders and teams across the organization, including partnering with Finance and Strategy to track and manage budget and spend across strategic initiatives
Were looking for someone who has:Experience in operations consulting / strategy / stakeholder management or related experience
Experience in program management, with demonstrated ability to lead complex strategic and operational initiatives
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver time:sensitive communications in short order to leadership audiences
An ability to define and track metrics for success, and analyze those metrics to propose data:driven solutions
A self:starter mentality who loves to own things from start to completion. You make things happen and dont need to ask for permission first
An ability to identify strategic needs, lead all aspects of planning with sound business recommendations, and generate alignment with key business partners
Nice to haves:Past experience managing teams and open to future management opportunities as we scale this function
Past experience building a centralized Project Management Office (PMO)
Certifications such as PMP, ITIL Foundations V3 or V4, or Lean IT Six Sigma
